Minkang Gu
Justice of the peace
Gu Minkang, male, born in February 1962, is a Hong Kong Justice of the Peace and a member of the 12th and 13th Hubei Provincial Political Consultative Conference.
He obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Law from East China University of Political Science and Law, and later went to the United States to obtain a Doctor of Law degree. He also pursued a Master's degree in European Commercial Law in France.
Current Vice Dean of the School of Applied Policy Research and Future Education at the Education University of Hong Kong, and Director of the National Security and Legal Education Research Center; Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Faculty of Law, Xiangtan University. Formerly served as the Dean of the School of Credit Risk Management and the first Minister of the Faculty of Law at Xiangtan University, Vice Dean of the Law School at City University of Hong Kong, Visiting Scholar at the Law Department of Ruhr University Bochum in Germany, Visiting Professor at the University of Vienna in Austria, and Visiting Researcher at the Asian Legal Research Center of the National University of Singapore; Professor of the first "Shanghai Oriental Scholars" lecture at East China University of Political Science and Law in Shanghai. He is the Vice Chairman and Executive Chairman of the Hong Kong Basic Law Education Association; Vice President and Secretary General of Xiangjiang Zhihui (a private think tank); Director of the National Hong Kong and Macau Research Association; Arbitrators from institutions such as China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and Qianhai International Arbitration Court (Shenzhen Arbitration Commission); Consultant of Hong Kong International Dispute Resolution and Professional Negotiation Research Institute, Consultant of Hunan Credit Construction Promotion Association, Expert Member of the First Expert Advisory Committee of Hebei High People's Court, Member of the Expert Committee of Suzhou International Commercial Court, Honorary Chairman of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Joint Mediation Institute.
